“Absolutely lovely little cottage, would recommend staying here! Just bare in mind that it is quite a drive from Fort william but the views and the cottage make up for it! Dorothy amd Charlie are amazing hosts and very thoughtful, incredibly helpful also.Thank you for our stay and we will be back for sure!”

“Ben View was our perfect holiday retreat. The owners were such welcoming and generous hosts we really appreciated the welcome hamper! Everything we could have needed was catered for, including cleaning products and detergent for the washing machine. The cottage is more spacious than you'd guess from the photos and the rooms are beautifully furnished. And what a view! We loved looking across the loch to the Nevis range above Fort William by day and the lights of the town at night, especially on bonfire night. We'll be back.”

“We have just enjoyed a very relaxing week at Ben View. The house has amazing views, very comfortable and clean and had everything we could possibly need. There was a wonderful welcome pack waiting for us when we arrived and the owners were very friendly and helpful in the messages we exchanged. We enjoyed the quiet, rural location and made sure we stopped in Fort William to buy groceries before we arrived, as there are no shops anywhere close by.We would definitely recommend this house for anyone wanting complete relaxation in beautiful surroundings.”

“Ben View wow. When we drove up the drive, we felt this place was special. On entering the bungalow, it felt like home. It's very large and would easily accommodate 4 people. It was beautifully clean, equipped with everything you could ever wish for. Plenty of towels, bedding. Everywhere in the bungalow was upkept to the highest level. The welcome hamper was really appreciated. To us it felt like home from home The views are spectacular, something changing every minute, night time looking over the Loch to Fort William, with the lights sparkling is lovely. Sat on the patio taking in the peace and serenity of this beautiful place are memories that will last with us forever. We loved it here. Never met but was in contact and couldn't have asked for better hosts. An ideal base for exploring, as with the Highlands it involves travelling. We loved it.”

“Simply the best cottage we have had the pleasure of staying at in 35 yr so good in fact, we booked the same two weeks for next year, whilst we were there, thats a first!Stunning location and views, in the most beautiful area of Scotland. I gave local amenities a 9, as you have to travel, but we knew that before we booked, so not an issue, just plan your shopping. The cottage is so spacious, warm, clean and a real home from home, you literally dont want for anything. Also fully Covid compliant. As for the owners, you couldnt ask for more. Didnt meet them due to covid but they are the most caring, helpful, lovely people to deal with, without being in anyway obtrusive. We didnt switch the TV on for the first 5 days, as the views of the loch and Ben Nevis change in every lightweather, and we couldnt stop staring out!If you like your wildlife, we saw sea eagles, porpoise, deer, owls , the list goes on. All within walking distance of cottage. If this was my only holiday every year for the rest of my life, Id be a happy man.”

“Lovely setting and always a warm welcome. Local amenities are non existent but, its why you choose a place like Ben View, a little remote and peaceful. Shower room would benefit from a handle for getting in and out”

“Ben View is a fabulous, luxury home. It's spacious, modern, warm, comfortable and immaculatly clean. The views of Fort William are best viewed reclining on the sunny patio on the luxurious outdoor furniture. We would love to go back. Ben View really is an exceptional place and a real home from home. I cannot recommend it highly enough”

“A perfect holiday cottage! Ben View is comfortable, clean, practical, spacious and superbly equipped! It boasts fabulous views over the loch to Fort William and is well placed for visiting places such as Neptune's Staircase, Glenfinnan, Sanna beaches, Mull, Mullaig and all around the Ben Nevis region. We did not meet the cottage owners due to Covid but Dorothy was in touch by text and was kind and very helpful. There is a singlelane road which leads to the cottage and it takes about 15 mins to drive up this to meet the main road into Fort William there are plenty of passing places and it's not a busy road (and it's good practice for the many similar roads in the area!) There is a foot ferry just up the road in Camusnagaul if you want to get to Fort William quickly.”

“This is an amazing bungalow, an absolute home from home. It is so well equipped and has everything you could possibly ask for and more. The views are stunning, no matter what the weather and the hospitality, even though fully COVID compliant, could not have been better.”

“Lovely cottage, spotless with wonderful views of the Loch and Ben Nevis. A warm welcome on arrival from Dorothy and Charlie. The welcome basket was spot on to start our holiday. The weather was kind and we visited Mallaig, Neptunes Staircase, Ben Nevis, Isle of Sky, Glen Coe and the Finnan Viaduct. Just wish we had been there for two weeks instead of one.”

“Ben View cottage is a delightful little house with absolutely stunning views of Ben Nevis and Fort William across the expanse of Loch Linnhe. The property comes fully equipped with everything you need from self catering accommodation. The owners, Charlie & Dorothy, have made this place welcoming and charming and offers comforts and familiarity reminiscent of staying at your mother or grandmother's house. Though the journey to the property along the A861 does need some skill in negotiating, the single track does have are plenty of laybys along the route where one can pull over to allow on coming traffic. This property is in a great location to do local sight seeing and visit many of the wonderful attractions of the Highlands; for example the Jacobite Train or the Ben Nevis Whisky Distillery along with other places such as Loch Ness or the sandy bays and beaches near Morar. And if you wish to pop over to Fort William there is a regular ferry boat service less than half a mile from the house which runs throughout the day to take you there and back for just £2 each way.We would thoroughly recommend this facility to anyone wanting a quiet get away to the Scottish Highlands. Will & Paddy”

“What a beautiful cottage! The pictures don't do it justice. The views are also stunning and we have never spent so much time on holiday just enjoying the view. There are some fabulous walks right on the doorstep, as well as some nice things to do nearby. The cottage owner Doroty was lovely as well and made sure we knew nothing was too much to ask.”
