Guest Comments

"Had a great holiday, despite the weather not being the best. Island View is a great base with good facilities and the pictures do not do it justice. The area is lovely and the walks fantastic. Would recommend the area and Island view to any family."

"We had plenty of room in this spacious house which was v.clean in all area's, there are numerous T.V's around the property and the cinema room was well used as we did have a lot of rain during our stay. The hot tub is large & although you do have to add some chlorine yourself it is simple enough to do."

Colin, August 2021

"Glorious location with uninterrupted views right out to sea, the house designed to maximise the views. Lovely to have en suites to all bedrooms. Hot tub and roof terrace brilliant too. House is very spacious and comfortable. A few minor niggles - a broken toilet flush, tumble dryer not working - but really minor and didn't affect the holiday at all. Lovely relaxing place for a "staycation"."

Caroline, August 2021

"We had a wonderful stay at Island View, the location is stunning and the property has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The owners were helpful and available to contact, and very quick to get someone at the property to fix an issue with the hot water. All the rooms were large and spacious and the communal areas were great for our family to spend time. The location was a perfect base to visit the local area, and the view was stunning. The only slight negative was the lack of clear instructions for the hot tub. We arrived and the hot tub levels required were already incorrect, and having never had to try to fix this in a hot tub before, were a little clueless as to how to change the levels as required. There were the solutions to do this but instructions on the solution tubs were not that clear for a novice in such matters. However, the hot tub was not the main draw to the property to us (just a nice perk), and we would definitely stay at Island View again. Highly recommend."

Anne-marie, June 2021

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, will definitely be back."

Conor, November 2020

"Absolutely fantastic and will definitely be back. Have a couple of 9’s for equipment / cleanliness because the hot tub didn’t appear to be filtering overnight."

Lisa, November 2020

"The house was fabulous. Lovely views from lounge/kitchen and bedrooms. Very spacious everything a family could need. Four bedrooms each with en-suite and an extra separate toilet. One bathroom could do with a bit of an update but that was just personal taste. Great kitchen with breakfast bar, great having two fridges as well as freezer especially if your cooking for family. Washing machine and tumble drier in utility room is handy. Hot tub, sauna and cinema room were great. Great back garden and patio area with furniture and bbq. Would highly recommend. Lovely area, quiet and relaxing but not far from other areas. Culzean Castle and Heads of Ayr for kids a short drive away. Photographs don’t do it justice."

Anne, October 2020

"Perfect location for my family the views and walks are beautiful exactly what we needed peace and quiet and lots of fresh air the kids had a great time at the beach climbing the rocks and paddling in the sea weather was fantastic The sauna and jacuzzi we’re a big plus and plenty of rooms to relax in would definitely book it again"
