Guest Comments

"Very good place to stay. It is uphill from the village itself so be prepared for a good walk!"

Mike, August 2021

"We wanted somewhere with a view and being sat on the terrace of this apartment looking over Mevagissey was perfect. The only downside with a view like this is the climb up and down to the village centre, it helps to work off the evening meal. We had apartment number 3 of 4, 2-4 looked to be of the same layout but number 4 didn't have as much sun in the afternoon but it is easy to move into the garden. Apartment 1 had the best position, sun morning and later in the afternoon and is larger. The interior of the apartment was very clean but quite old, some comments in the guest book complained about the mismatched kitchen equipment, cups etc but we thought that added to the charm. The bathroom looked like it had been refitted not that long ago.The owner who lives on site is a wonderful character, very sprightly at 81, full of the history of the village having lived there all his life and lots of wonderful stories. Just ask him about boat building!!Lots to do in the village and local area, we were there for a week and didn't go further than 15 miles.Just a note of the directions supplied, on going into Mevagissey, the main car park is on the left, the instructions states the right."

Bob, June 2021

"Excellant position overlooking the harbour and town of Mevagissey. Quiet area, but steep road/footpath down to the harbour. Parking on site. Would recommend pre booking restaurants prior to visiting, as many fully booked, over a week ahead. Fresh fish available from harbourside.Pleasure trips out to sea, well worth the experience. Heligan Gardens are within walking distance, but expensive and we found not worth the money. Coast path goes through Mevagissey and spectacular bays north and south of the town. Ferry to Fowey daily, a town well worth a visit."

"Fabulous week at the apartment which was exceptionally clean. All the basic amenities you could want and a fabulous view, just a shame we couldn’t use the balcony as much as we would have liked before or when returning after a day out but this was only because of the weather and time of year. Friendly owner Tom is onsite to help with any queries and was quick to respond to a minor request we had. Would definitely look to stay again if in the area"

Maria, November 2020

"Lovely, cosy accommodation. Beatifully clean and maintained. Great location for a base to explore Cornwall. Owner Tom lives on site and was very helpful and interesting to talk to. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending his accommodation."

Andrew, October 2020

"We had a very enjoyable holiday. Best bits were talking to landlord Tom and balcony and view. The apartment wasn't huge but a perfectly adequate size for two and quite comfortable. If you don't like walking up hills don't rent this one (pretty obvious from the brochure)."

Stephen, September 2020

"Host, Tom, was fantastic. The view is spectacular!"

Becky, September 2020

"Really lovely place to stay overlooking the beautiful harbour. Accommodation was lovely. The owner was brilliant. A really lovely chap. The walk down to the harbour is very steep, so beware. But we loved it. Will defo stay here again."

Steve, September 2020
