You can take a tour around the Highland Park and Scapa distilleries and sample their whisky!

Nature lovers will be drawn to Orkney with its pristine beaches, spectacular cliffs and marshes which are home to many species of bird and wildlife. Fishing, walking, golf, bird watching, golf and a wide variety of other actvities are all available. Take a ferry or a fligh and visit some of Orkney’s spectacular islands. For the less energetic, sit back, relax and watch the every-changing scenery this beautiful area has to offer. In all, a visit to the Orkney Islands will be remembered with many happy memories. Beach 500 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 4 miles.

Guest Comments

"Beautiful cottage on a lovely island (connected to mainland by causeway), with stunning views over the bay. Simply the best and most comfortable holiday cottage that we have ever stayed in. All furniture and equipment are high quality, everywhere was sparklingly clean. The "Welcome Pack" took our breath away - again the best we have ever had. The owners were very helpful when we had one very minor problem. We were worried about staying a distance from the mainland/Kirkwall etc but this proved a silly fear. There are many beautiful walks on the island, Robertson's and The Sands restaurants (short distance away) became favourites for meals out. Local shops great for odd bits of shopping, with Tesco in Kirkwall 25 minutes away. All areas on mainland easy car journey for day out. We had lots of sea mist our first week, but this didn't stop our enjoyment and it was fascinating to watch it roll in so quickly. We're already planning a return trip for 2023 - but will book early because, not surprisingly, this cottage is very popular!"

"One of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in. Top notch. Nothing too much trouble. Welcome pack was so generous. Comfort. Stylish. Breathtaking views. Very dog friendly. Spacious. Well equipped kitchen. Garden a good size. Very good parking facilities. Detached. Only neighbours were the cows and the rabbits."
