“We couldnt have asked for better accommodation for a family holiday with a 2 year old, a baby, a granny, an uncle, a mum and dad. Supplied was a travel cot, high chair, stair gates and booster seat together with a surprise gift for each of the children. All were good quality and spotlessly clean. We had initially booked for the Christmas week which had to be postponed so we were all so looking forward to the break. The house is amazingwith the views from the second floor, open plan livingkitchen area just spectacular especially at sunset. Its contemporary, yet cosy, great heating system, well equipped kitchen and so much room for a family of 6. Location is good too with a 10 minute drive to the town of Ellon which has supermarkets, coffee shops and restaurants. We even booked a takeaway delivery from there one night to save us cooking. Theres loads of walks in the nature reserve and a picturesque harbour in the village for wild swimming ( if youre adventurous) or shell collecting if you are a 2year old and his granny. A 25 minute drive will take you into Aberdeen for the day too. Will definitely be back.”

“As a holiday destination Collieston suited our needs as a family for a two week vacation and as a holiday home Murlin exceeded our expectations! We were a party of eight including three young boys but at no time did we feel crowded due to the spaciousness the house provided, helped by the fact that all bedrooms were ensuite. All equipment, furnishings and linens provided were top notch! The weather could have been kinder to us during our second week, but didnt deter us from getting out and about lots of country walks from the doorstep, swimming at the local beach and Hackley Bay, the Seal Beach at Newburgh, Peterhead Prison Museum, Aberdeen Science Museum, Cineworld to see Peter Rabbit 2! and Cadonas funfair to name a few of our outings. Top favourites for eating out were Newburgh Inn ( child friendly ) and Brewdog in Ellon ( burgers recommended ). Thank you to Fionna for her communications before, during and after our stay. We have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending Murlin as a first class choice for a relaxing holiday.”

“Loved the property with its modern equipment and facilities. Really appreciated the tasteful decoration and overall comfort. Everything was spotless and chosen to give an experience of luxury. Little extras were thoughtful and highly appreciated. The village was pretty with walks on the heath just a step out of the door. Other walks nearby were equally enjoyable, e.g. Staines Castle, Seal Island and Bullers of Buchan the latter not suitable for dogs or those who suffer from vertigo. Can't praise Murlin high enough. Will be recommending to friends.”

“What a glorious place. Lovely walks through the nature reserve. No real facilities in the village unless you want an ice cream but plenty in Ellon.Recommended but not too much or I might miss out on booking for next year.”
