"The Granary is a wonderfully-appointed sympathetic conversion in the middle of a working, arable farm. Spotlessly clean, it feels very Covid-safe, and made an excellent home from home. Philippa is exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and was willing to offer advice on places to go, pubs for food and more. We were delighted to be welcomed with flowers and chocolates inside, as well as milk, tea/coffee, soap, washing up liquid and more. Despite being a working farm, it's very peaceful - the farm is situated some way back from the road, and we thoroughly enjoyed strolling through the borders of the corn fields in the summer evenings. The accommodation is of the highest standard, with pretty much everything you could want - you can tell that Philippa and Steve had taken the time to stay in the cottage to make sure that it has everything you could need. The cookware is excellent quality (unusual in a holiday cottage), with non-stick frying pans that are actually non-stick, sharp kitchen knives that are clearly resharpened regularly, plenty of pots and pans, and most other things that you might want in a kitchen/dining area.Another surprise for a holiday cottage is a good quality and decent-sized TV with a working digital TV reception, plus another good-sized TV in the master bedroom.Sofas are comfortable, the dining table and chairs are a good size and solidly made, and it's a joy to stand by the Juliette balcony looking out over the farm and enjoying a balmy summer's evening. There's also a table and chairs outside to enjoy the weather, as well as a kettle bbq (which we didn't have the opportunity to use, but is good to know it's there!).Bedrooms are both a decent size - the twin room is big enough for two children (we had an almost 6 foot 17 year-old sharing with a slightly smaller 14 year-old with no problems), and the beds are comfortable. There is plenty of storage for clothing in cupboards and drawer units just outside the bedroom. The master bedroom has a very comfortable double bed, and a good number of drawers to use within it as well as a large cupboard. Velux skylight windows are easy to open in the bathroom, twin bedroom and living/dining areas, bringing light and air into the property, and the master bedroom has a "regular" window opening up over the front of the property.Having two toilets (one between the bedrooms, and another in the downstairs shower room) is fantastic when travelling with teenagers (or indeed as couples, I'm sure), and the shower downstairs is nice and powerful. The bedding and towels are all excellent quality - fluffy towels, plump pillows and a good duvet. All in all, everything is of the highest quality - this is probably the best holiday cottage we've booked, and Philippa made sure that we were comfortable and well-looked after throughout. Ten out of ten, couldn't recommend it highly enough."

"Booked the Granary as we were attending a wedding nearby. It is quite remote but that's why some would find it ideal. A great welcome from Philippa with clear instructions, and a clean, comfortable and very functional property. Great views a feeling of tranquillity, though I short journey is required for the shops and pub. I would say it's at the expensive end of the options available, but overall I'd say this cost was justified. Finally, I did leave behind some personal belongings which Philippa found and she has kindly posted these on to us. I would definitely recommend."
