"Brilliant accommodation just needs a swimming pool or hot tub!"

Victoria, August 2021

"Just returned from a week at Hamilton Lodge with our extended family. Cottage was excellent. Very well equipped. Garden superb for the dog. Also great being able to acess the beach via a path through the fields. So quiet & peaceful."

Brenda, July 2021

"Gorgeously spacious house, well equipped and the garden is amazing for the kids to run around in. My only negative is the house description made the beach sound closer and more accessible than it is. For those with mobility issues, older or very young family members you will struggle to get down to the brilliant beach. From the track at the back of the house it is a decent 20 minute walk which ends in a scramble down a quite dangerous cliff path to get onto the beach. Going through the holiday park is another 15-20 minute walk with a kissing gate which is inaccessible to buggies and wheelchairs. Luckily my kids and elderly are part goat so it didn't effect us! But definitely worth the hassle once you are there."

"I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my holiday at Hamilton Lodge. It was very peaceful, perfect location, there was 4 adults and 3 dogs and still had ample space. Amazing quiet track at the back of the property that lead to the beach. As stated in previous reviews the WiFi wasn’t perfect but it was fine for simple browsing. There is a shop on the campsite opposite which was great for any small bits and bobs. The garden is huge and perfect for outdoor activities, especially for the dogs. The driveway would easily fit 3 cars on with no problems. Spent so much time outside as it was quiet and such a lovely view. Would 100% recommend to anyone with dogs and a family."

Charlotte, June 2021

"Second time we’ve been here, 6 of us stayed and 3 dogs, there was plenty of room for all of us, it has everything there you could think of. The garden is great for the dogs, except there were a lot of rabbits they wanted to chase. The pub was in walking distance and were very friendly and made us and the dogs welcome, the food was excellent too.A lovely place to relax, have walks on the beach or just laze in the garden"

Christopher, June 2021

"A really bright and spacious house, with big comfortable sofas and chairs downstairs plus another upstairs lounge to watch the sun go down. The house was spotlessly clean and the garden was huge for our two dogs and was securely enclosed. It is a short walk to the beach, which is bit difficult to get onto due to errosion, but it makes it very quiet for walking the dogs and it goes on for miles. It is a really quiet area so its an ideal house just to relax and enjoy beach walking, you can get milk and the odd pick up item locally but thats all, so be pepared with what you need."

Neil, May 2021

"We had a lovely stay at Hamilton Lodge. We were lucky enough to be greeted by the gardener when we arrived who gave us some great tips about the local area. We were a little apprehensive as there were some previous reviews that the furnishings were tired and dated. I understand from the gardener that some updating has been recently carried out. The house is absolutely lovely we were so impressed with it. The garden is huge and great for dogs. You can walk to the beach from the property. The house is spacious, private and has everything you need. There is WiFi and a phone signal. We have no complaints whatsoever and will definitely be back. One of the best places we have stayed."

Kate, May 2021

"We had an excellent stay in this property. It's super dog friendly and very close to a quiet beach. There are plenty of local places to visit or just play in the garden! It didn't affect our stay but the property would benefit from a bit of updating, as well as the information folder (it said Alan the gardener would come on a Tuesday but in fact Trevor turned up on a different day) and T.V. instructions (very faded and hand written) It is somewhere that we would happily come back to time and time again :-)"

Sarah, April 2021

"Nice stay, would visit again"

Tim, September 2020

"second time we have been perfect for our family and dogs superb empty beaches only issue no wifi but will still be going again"

Les, September 2020

"We had a lovely time at Hamilton Lodge, the facilities were as expected and the host was very accommodating with us adding our new family dog to the booking at relatively short notice. There’s plenty of space for the 8 people that the property can host and we enjoyed making use of it all. The garden is a fantastic space to allow dogs to let off steam and it backs on to a walk to the beach which was great too. Thank you for a lovely break away, it was for a birthday trip and thoroughly enjoyed by all"
