Reviews

“Great place, clean and well equipped for our use. A super layout and the view from the upstairs is amazing. Parking is a little difficult to access the driveway, so parked over the road, you have to time it well to avoid the walkers taking up the spaces with their cars. The local pub was closed for 2 weeks and the next nearest pub was fully booked over the three days we stayed. The walks are amazing.”

“Fantastic little apartment right by the sea, with lots of countryside to explore on the doorstep. The apartment itself was spotless, with plenty of pots and pans, cutlery and crockery etc. The living area was lovely with a big window overlooking the sea.Plymouth is about 30 minutes drive with lots to do, as well as national trust properties and other outdoors places to explore within a few minutes drive.Only thing to note is that access is via a very steep, twisty road. As long as you and your vehicle can handle that, it's no problem to get to!Overall if you want a quiet, picturesque, relaxing place to stay with plenty to do nearby, this is ideal. Would gladly recommend!”

“Fantastic cottage with everything you need, clean, comfortable, light and spacious with amazing views over the cove and out to sea. The coastal walks are fantastic, a little steep at times but fantastic. It's a great location for getting to different places to visit. The owners are a very helpful and friendly couple with beautiful dogs of their own. We would recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay, and the local pub is great too.”

“We stayed for a week the apartment was lovely with a stunning view of the sea. We loved to sit and watch the sailing boats go by. The south coastal path is 10 steps away from the house going in both directions. We walked both paths around 10 miles each route, which has stunning views and lovely beaches and bays along the path! Overall we loved the quietness of the village and its remote location. The hosts were lovely and the apartment had everything you needed. I would highly recommend The Ravine as a lovely place to stay.”

“Well maintained cottage which has obviously just been refurbished. Great location for walks and dog friendly. You can see the and hear the sea from the living room which we loved. Decent pub for food literally 30 seconds walk away. Thoroughly recommended cottage.”

“We loved the property and the holiday. Picture does not really do the view justice. The bathroom is very small. The owners are very friendly. Lower score for amenities because it just has a post box pub and the coastal path but we didn't need anymore so that wasn't an issue. Loved watching the boats coming and going. Great base for visiting Plymouth.”

“Stunning location great walks if a little challenging for casual walkers.”
