“This beautiful and quaint 400 year old cottage was just as expected, however the photos don't do it justice. The courtyard is bigger than expected and there is a picnic table so you can eat outside. A lovely quiet location in a great position for exploring the local area, walks and beaches. The cottage has a lovely cosy, welcoming feel and because of its age it does have low ceilings and is nice and cool There is a delightful mix of traditional and coastal themes throughout the cottage. The owner responds very quickly to any questions and the locals are really friendly too.The Castle Inn is a very short walk up the hill and The Smugglers Inn, which does a carvery each day is a 20 min walk. Holcombe beach (only 5 minute walk) is very pretty and the coastal walk takes you to Teignmouth. My favourite beach, Oddicombe is well worth a visit and it has small neighbouring bays and a lovely caferestaurant.”
