Guest Comments

"Lovely spacious cottage with fantastic garden and hot tub overlooking the countryside and sea . Ideal accommodation if travelling with a dog. Two of the bedrooms are more suitable for children than adults. We loved the beautiful Rousden Estate within which it is situated. Local towns 5 mins away in the car."

Jayne, December 2020

"We had a fantastic stay, despite the weather. The cottage had everything we needed. The hot tub was lovely even with the 50 mile an hour winds and rain. The only downside was the upstairs bathroom, although has a shower, would be nice to use it as a shower, with wall mounting and shower curtain. Everything else was great, would definitely return, hopefully with better weather."

Sally, November 2020

"A fantastic location with a view of the sea - quiet and perfect for a retreat away from home. Spent loads of time in the sun room watching the view and weather and great walks from the property. The only downside was not having a shop within reasonable walking distance, but that didn’t stop us having a fantastic time."

Clare, November 2020

"The hot tub wasn't hot on our first night. Other than that, having such beautiful views it was so peaceful. Brilliant pub at the Ship Axmouth."

Claire, October 2020

"A lovely peaceful holiday in a house with a completely enclosed private garden overlooking the sea. The beds were extremely comfortable and the garden room was a lovely additional sitting room. The house is set in 350 acres worth of safe grounds which meant our children had a wonderful time with their scooters. Our children slept so well thanks to the black blinds. There was also a highchair and stairgate if you have younger children. The owners thoughtfully left a bottle of bubbly and some delicious biscuits which was much appreciated. It's not far at all from Lyme Regis so we had some beautiful beach walks collecting fossils."

Catherine, October 2020

"Sea view lodge is definitely a hidden gem in a little village of Rousdon. Although there really is not much there, the lodge is an easy 10 minutes away from Lyme Regis and Seaton which has plenty of amenities and touristic things to do. The accommodation itself is spotless and very tastefully decorated even with minimal things due to Covid. I would definitely recommend for a family to stay there as we had a lovely stay with our little 8 month old."

Valentina, October 2020

"A well needed break with family. Absolutely lovely accommodation and a sea view. Everything you needed including a fab hot tub. Location close to many lovely areas Beer, Seaton Etc. Highly recommend and would book to visit again x"

Lorraine, October 2020

"We had such a lovely time at the cottage. The location was ideal and we loved the hot tub. I would definitely come back here."

Daisy, September 2020

"The cottage was in a wonderful position & very quiet. The walk down to the beach was pretty strenuous but worth it as we saw very few other people on there. We never used the lounge as we spent all of our time either in the sunroom or outside. Lovely walks around the grounds too."

Rachel, August 2020

"A lovely spacious house, with room to relax."

Cheryl, March 2020

"Absolutely gorgeous week. We have never stayed in such a well equipped cottage. The weather was atrocious and although some of our group braved the storms, the sun room was the perfect place for others to watch the rain and wind whilst keeping warm and dry inside. The wood burning stove made the evenings lovely and cosy. A real home from home but in a stunning location and with views of the sea from all around the back of the house. There were not many local amenities as such that were open at this time of year but if you love walking, scenery and nature, and cosy nights in playing games and relaxing with family or friends then it can’t be beaten. Thank you for a great holiday."

Clare, February 2020

"Lovely cottage. Lots of space for 6 adults and 2 dogs. Well equipped, great location. Lovely enclosed garden and hot tub. Will be back."

Joanna, February 2020

"Two families making up 4 adults and 4 children. Perfect space for all, great location, close to the sea, hot tub a bit with everyone, underfloor heating in dining room amazing! Lovely views. We all slept well and would love to come back again. Thank you "
