This is a great place to stay in this pretty coastal town on Cornwall’s stunning north coast. A short walk will bring you to the centre of all the action in this bustling fishing village. Padstow, home to Michelin starred restaurants, local pubs, great cafés, local shops and galleries that line the pretty harbour, has it all, from beaches to cycle trails and fishing trips on one of the day boats that leave the harbour.

Padstow is also home to Rick Stein’s culinary empire, including restaurants, delis, cafés, a cookery school and a fish and chip shop, which is at the start of the Camel Trail, an off road, multi-use trail that follows the shoreline of the River Camel as it flows inland to Wadebridge and Bodmin. You can hire bikes to enjoy this flat trail and enjoy a lunch or ice cream in the pretty town of Wadebridge.

For a great day out, catch the ferry from the quayside and cross the mouth of the estuary to Rock, a favourite with the Royals. Then walk along the golden sand and join the coast path for a stroll to Daymer Bay, which is the home of St Enedoc Church, the final resting place of Sir John Betjeman. If you’re feeling energetic, follow the coast path into Polzeath for a drink on a terrace overlooking the beach.

Port Isaac, the location for the TV series Doc Martin, is easily reached and a great day out, you may even see some filming. Newquay, with its vibrant surf culture and numerous beaches, Bodmin, the gateway to the dramatic moors, and Tintagel, the legendary home to King Arthur with its imposing castle, are all easily reached from this comfy and cosy apartment. There are also many excellent golf courses nearby, along with great spas for that relaxing special treatment. Beach 1 mile. Shop 800 yards, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

"This little extension to the homeowners home is beautiful. Everything and more that you need as a brilliant base to see all of north Cornwall. Tintagel. St Mawes to Falmouth ferry. Walks and 29 mins through a short cut to the harbour and padstow Absolutely Lovely week we had."

Vicky, August 2021

"Excellent accommodation that has everything you need for a short stay. Slightly further from the village centre than expected but only 10-15 minute walk."

Chris, August 2021

"Lovely cottage on one level. Ideal for a couple, spotlessly clean, did not lack anything. Very quiet area on the edge of the town, lots of lovely walks nearby. The parking was not ideal as I thought we had an allocated parking space but there was loads of free parking in the area very close by, but that said it was not a real problem. Padstow is a lovely place very busy at times so not for those who want a quiet setting!"

Angela, August 2021

John, July 2021

"Had a lovely holiday - the place was spotless - close to Padstow Harbour - perfect for just two people. No washing machine - but we knew this when booking - the owners had provided a welcome basket with bread scones clotted cream biscuits butter etc which was a nice touch."

Richard, June 2021

"Excellent accommodation every thing you need in a very peaceful location.. a short walk to Padstow.. Tesco up the road.. apart from COVID Rules and regs.. we thoroughly enjoyed our visit..Highly recommend.."

Colin, June 2021

"We enjoyed our week. The Honeypot owner was very pleasant and very helpful but, did not intrude at all. The property is comfortable but, doesn’t have a washing machine (which we knew before booking) and the fridge is a tad on the small side. That aside I’d recommend it to people looking to stay close to the centre of Padstow."

Andrew, August 2020

"I was nervous about staying somewhere due to Coronavirus but the cottage was in immaculate condition & could not have been cleaner. The owner was very friendly but did not disturb us throughout the holiday & from meeting her I was reassured about the lengths she had gone to so that we would be comfortable. The cottage is beautiful and has everything you need. Comfy bed, good shower, well equipped kitchen including cleaning products and basic supplies such as coffee etc. The complimentary mini hamper was a lovely surprise.Nice patio to enjoy a drink. Tesco is at the top of the road for any shopping needed. I would definitely stay again & recommend it."
