Reviews

“What can I say The cottage is stunning, the views are incredible. I can't fault it in any way, and we hope to be back as soon as possible!”

“The only reason anyone would leave a bad review here would be in the hopes of keeping this little gem a secret to themselves. The view cannot be done justice by any photograph. The cottage is immaculately clean. The free provision of coal and wood for the stove is a rarity I've not seen in other places; and much appreciated! The kitchen is well stocked with appliances so that you can cook a grand meal. I thoroughly enjoyed the walking route maps and the full binder containing routes. The cottage is not easily accessible by car (I.e. mind the potholes and the steep hills!) But that is hardly the owner's fault it also comes with the great advantage that no tourists happen to come by. I have but one complaint, and that is that the time seems to move more quickly up here the week flew by and I did not want it to end yet. I sincerely hope I can come back one day but if I can't due to it being fully booked no place would deserve it more.”

“We had a peaceful stay at cottage, the majority of attractions were closed, ie. museums, restaurants, castle, but overall a nice stay”

“Cuillin View is the perfect retreat for those wanting a peaceful break from it all whilst gazing over a beautiful vista. We really enjoyed our time at the cottage, it felt homely and was toasty warm when you needed it to be. We would most definitely return.”

“We really enjoyed our stay at Cuillin View. The cottage was spotlessly clean on arrival and is very well equipped. Communication with the owner was great, we found the cottage without issue. Such a peaceful location. Knowing that the cottage is relatively remote, we arrived with most of our provisions for the week, but were able to replenish supplies either at Dunvegan or Glendale, or further afield whilst we were out and about exploring the island. During our stay, we regularly saw Buzzard, had a couple of fly pasts by White Tailed Eagles, and spotted Dolphins hunting in Loch Dunvegan, all from the comfort of the cottage, and also saw red deer along the lane towards Husabost.”

— Alison, 20 July 2021
“Lovely cottage with fabulous views. Wonderfully well cleaned and equipped. Perfect for a couple. About 7 miles from Dunvegan centre with most of the route along single track road with passing places. We took all we needed for the week in terms of food etc so had no issues with supplies. There is a small Londi type store on Dunvegan and a bakery. All in all we had a lovely holiday and would highly recommend this cottage.”
