“We so enjoyed our two weeks' stay at Mary's Cottage we were sad to leave. The cottage is cosy and well equipped. We appreciated the powerful shower and the ever changing views of the quaraing. Loved it.”

“A warm and cosy, very well equipped cottage. Comfortable kingsized bed. Friendly and welcoming hosts. Stunning location, the drive north of Portree to Staffin includes single track roads. Amazing scenery. We didn't use the local facilities so it's difficult to rate. Our hosts had provided details in their welcome pack. Enjoyed driving over the Quiraing to Uig single track road with passing places. Great fish and chips at On the Water, Uig. Birch and Skye Bakery in Portree great for food and cake. Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would stay here again.”

“The cottage is lovely and has everything you could want for a weeks stay, a little off the beaten track but this may be what you are looking for. There was a draft from the front door, but we were there during a minor storm and just stoked up the fire and hunkered down for the day.”

“A lovely cosy cottage in a spectacular location very quiet and beautiful views! We loved being able to sit outside in the sunshine and enjoy the scenery. The cottage was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. The local store and Hungry Gull takeaway is only about a mile away and we enjoyed being able to walk to An Corran beach (abt 2 miles) from the cottage as well.”

“Lovely cottage in a private setting with everything you need to get away from it all. Stunning scenery and lovely walls, great location for walking.”

“Enjoyed our stay. Cottage was perfect for our needs, very comfortable and cosy. Spotlessly clean and well equipped and very tidy lawned garden with an amazing view up to the Quirang. Very handy for local walks down to Staffin beach. Also ideal location for exploring the north of Skye, and not too far to the Cuillins. The host was very welcoming and offered help during our stay, if needed. Welcome pack was very generous and thoughtful. Would highly recommend. Unfortunately the weather let us down a bit, so the outside garden seating was not maximised. Staffin shop, a short walk away, met our needs. Although Portree was not far away and a very pleasurable drive.”

“Fantastic place to stay”
— Ade, 16 October 2021
“Some of the local amenities had very restricted opening hours. The cottage however was excellent, not overly remote in that there are other houses nearby, but well set apart from the owners house with lots of outside space around to use. This was just how we wanted it.We knew the owners were there if we needed them, but because everything was so well organised inside the cottage we didnt have to call on them at all.”

“Marys Cottage was a delightful place to stay for our week in Skye in every way we could not have been happier a friendly welcome. clean, well equipped kitchen , very comfortable sofas and bedroom we did not need to light the log burner as the cottage was comfortably warm with the preset heating but would be an added cosy treat if needed. We would defiantly recommend and return to Staffin and look to book Marys cottage to enjoy further visits on Skye Lynn”

“Mary's cottage is a beautiful cottage, loving renovated and furnished to a high standard. It was very comfortable, wellequipped and spotless and it has its own private grounds with stunning views of the Quaraing ridge. It is located in a very quiet location on the Trotternish peninsula, a couple of miles from Staffin beach and 17 miles from Portree. The hosts were warm and welcoming. I can't recommend this cottage highly enough.”
