Reviews

“An excellent and well maintained property. A vehicle is a must as the location is somewhat remote.”

“The Old Store is like a home from home. It is a cosy, comfortable cottage with a good heating system and the owner has provided amenities over and above what one usually finds in rental accommodation. The scenery is stunning and there are plenty of walks, sightseeing, shops, climbing, boat trips and more. We had a really enjoyable holiday there and can recommend it”

“We had a lovely week here, and Catriona could not have been more helpful (even when A82 was closed for hours, no detour possible). The house is better "specked" that our one at home!!”

“We booked the cottage to take our grandchildren on holiday, the cottage had ample room for 4 people. It was an ideal location for the water activities they wanted to do. Even although it is on the main road to Fort William the traffic was no problem. We really enjoyed our week in The Old Store in Onich. The hosts were very pleasant and helpful.”

“Perfect, could not fault in any way. Would certainly not hesitate in visiting again. Very big thanks to the owner.”

“The Old Store tells of a proud family history and although on the main road to Fort William it has a unique location adjacent to a working small holding with friendly inquisitive cows. The road itself is relatively quiet in the evening and the garden, though not with stellar views, is tranquil. The accommodation is very comfortable and the owner has tried to provide everything guests might need, and with some taste. It was a perfect base to walk in Glencoe, take the ferry to Ardgour or drive to Fort William and Glen Nevis. There is a lovely walk just minutes away which takes in the falls at Inchree. Highly recommended, we will return”

“Beautiful cottage, spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped with a welcome tray complete with pancakes for your arrival. it's situated in a great spot in close proximity to Fort William and Glencoe. We had a really pleasant stay, made possible in no small measure by the cottage owner who obviously takes great care of her property.”
