“This is a wonderful little cottage and great base to explore the Highlands, Great Glen and west coast from. Warm and cosy, with a fantastically well equipped kitchen I didn't need any of the back up stuff I took (although its a bit short on chopping boards) as we liked to be out all day and cook for ourselves in the evenings. There are good supermarkets and a number of restaurants (recommend you book) in Fort William. There is another small express supermarket within a mile of the cottage. The Jacobite Express goes past the end of the garden a couple of times a day, which my husband took great delight in greeting at 6.45pm every evening, whisky in hand (I never knew he was a trainspotter, although it is a very special train). The bed and bedding are excellent, although we were pleased that we took our mattress topper with us. Bathroom is ensuite with a decent shower and towels are provided. Wifi is a bit hit and miss although who needs the internet when you're surrounded by such outstanding natural beauty. Loved every minute and didn't want to leave.”

“The cottage is well equipped and superbly located. The owners are extremely helpful and kind. I can thoroughly recommend the cottage, as being close to major tourist interests such as the Jacobite Steam train and the southern end of the Caledonian Canal. All in all an excellent cottage rental, the Jacobite steam train runs close by the back garden, but does not disturb at all. A great holiday destination...”

“A lovely, well equipped, very clean cottage with easy access to all Fort William has to offer.”

“We have stayed here a couple of times now and love the property and the area. We love watching the Jacobite Steam train pass each day out the back of the garden. It's so close by, you can almost reach out and touch it.However, when we went to dish up our dinner on our first night, we found what looked to be 'dog hair' in the bowls and on the plates. We also found what we think may have been part of a dog biscuit in the top drawer of the bedside cabinet, nearest the window.”

“A lovely cottagebungalow and ideal for exploring anywhere around 50 mile radius. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful, as are the local folk. If you love steam trains you will be in your element as they pass the rear garden 4 time daily (Jacobite Specials) . Secure garden for dogs. Superb holiday venue.”

“Great peaceful location. Incredibly comfortable bed!”

“This a fabulous place to stay. The cottage was spotlessly clean and you had no fear of Covid 19 here. We had a very relaxing week and it was lovely to see the mountains in the morning along with the Jacobite Express. I also felt very secure even our dogs chilled out. So a big thank you Mr. and Mrs. Skinner for a smashing time. I am sure that we will book again in the future”
