Situated in the heart of the thriving and popular village of Lochcarron, the property is just steps away from the beautiful shoreline. It is a short walk to all the local amenities, including village shop, restaurant, café and pub, and Lochcarron Golf Course is also open to visitors. Set back from the road, Seacot has a small courtyard garden overlooking the bay. The living room has large bi-folding doors, solid wooden floors, a large wood burner and bright original paintings, all combining to make this room bright, warm and welcoming. The kitchen/dining room is well equipped to a good standard, with integral appliances and plenty of space for dining. There is a good-sized family bathroom on the ground floor, with bath and separate shower cubicle, and there is underfloor heating throughout the ground floor. The steep cottage stairs lead up to two pretty bedrooms, both are attractively presented with soft furnishings, including delightful Fair Isle throws.

Lochcarron village is set right on the shores of the sea loch, surrounded by the spectacular hills and mountains of Wester Ross. There are also a number of local crafts made in the area and regular craft markets are held throughout the summer season. The area is a haven for wildlife, with otters and seals to be seen along the shore-line, and dolphins have been spotted in the bay. There are some superb drives in this part of the Highlands, and a trip to Applecross via the highest pass in Britain is a must. Known as the ‘Pass of the Cattle’ and rising to over 2,000 feet, it affords amazing views across the Minch to the isles of Raasay and Skye. This is a paradise for lovers of the great outdoors, and there are unlimited sporting opportunities close by including, climbing, hill walking, fishing, canoeing, diving, sailing and cycling. Guest Comments

"A nice, comfortable cottage tucked away on the main street in beautiful Lochcarron. Ideally placed for exploring the local area and Skye."

Norman, October 2021

"We loved staying at this cottage. It was very clean, warm and comfortable. We enjoyed the view from the front room, it was a lovely open frontage, the log burner really made it feel cosy and a utility/drying area was extremely useful and well thought out."

Jill, October 2021

"This was our second stay at Seacot. It was as lovely as the first time - perfect base for exploring the NW Highlands."

Brendan, October 2021

"Excellent Property. Wouldn't hesitate to book again."

Alistair, October 2021

"Our stay bat Seacot was extremely enjoyable, great location in the village. The cottage was really well equipped, spacious and comfortable. It was a great base for exploring the area. The owners have thought of lots of nice touches to make the stay easier and the boot room was very useful!!"

Chris, October 2021

"The cottage is well equipped and all the instructions were left out on how to operate equipment etc. Very clean and nicely set out as in some reviews stated it would have been nice to have a toilet upstairs, but was manageable for downstairs.Local shop is handy and the local community hub cafe is lovely for breakfast or coffee and cake. Not all restaurants were open if you wanted to eat out but it’s advisable to book due to current restrictions. We would certainly visit the cottage again, and huge thanks to Lynne for leaving goodies for our stay."

Linda, September 2021

"We had a wonderfully relaxing stay. Seacot was comfortable and well equipped, with stunning views across the loch. There are good eateries within walking distance, including The Bistro, which although not cheap serves delicious food. The cottage is well situated for exploring the Highlands a trip to Skye and the train from Strathcarron to the Kyle of Lochalsh is recommended."

Simon, August 2021

"Great holiday let. Seacot is very spacious and well appointed. The utility room makes it ideal for outdoors enthusiasts."

John, August 2021

"Nice cottage in a quiet location. Spotless clean. Good local amenities. Hotel & Spar shop just a short walk away. Plenty of activities in the area."

Bill, August 2021

"This was our 3rd stay at Seacot and we have booked again which says it all really. The property is always very clean, well equipped, the main bedroom bed is very comfortable and all the instructions for using items in the property are very clear. The local shop is well stocked and there are several places to eat nearby. We wanted a base from which we could travel around the area to hill walk - Seacot is perfect for this and the utility room is perfect for drying and airing walking gear."

Mark, August 2021

"Great cottage nicely tucked back from the main road. A loo upstairs would be brill but other than that it was lovely and everything that we hoped it would be. Had a lovely week and the weather was fantastic!"

Julie, July 2021

"We loved Seacot. First thing, the pictures on the site don’t do it justice. It is beautiful. I really cannot find fault with anything. The neighbours are friendly and we had a great time. I should really give it 0 so we have more chance of booking again next year. Thank you Lynne & Brian you have a wonderful place that we would like to visit again."

Marc, July 2021

"Seacot has an unusual layout of rooms, but is modern and very comfortable with fine views out from the living room (great sofas!) to the water. It’s set back a little (15m?) from the road and this makes it feel more private. Loved it."

Steve, June 2021

"Excellent cottage which is very well furnished and equipped. Superb location for hillwalking"

Steve, June 2021

"We had a lovely time at Seacot, in this beautiful part of Scotland. So many beautiful walks within a very short distance including some higher level ones! If you are a golfer the golf course is very quirky and oresents many challenges! The owners were very helpful with all the information that they supplied and the house is very comfortable."
