“Fabulous accommodation in a beautiful location. Great for all the family and the dogs and would highly recommend.”

“The cottage is set in the most rural, beautiful location, woodland at the front, a huge field at the rear with horses who visit every evening. The enclosed garden was much enjoyed by our cocker spaniel & ourselves sitting in the garden chairs enjoying the sunshine. We spent most of our evenings in the conservatory watching the sunsets & then in the lounge with the log fire burning. The double bed was very comfortable. Our only suggestions for Ann & Richard the owners , who by the way were very friendly & helpful, would be to move the rotary line from under the trees to the front garden & a bigger freezer.Would recommend this property & we will return in future. It is so peaceful.”

“We had a really lovely stay at Forester's Cottage during August 2020 and would highly recommend this property. We got slightly lost on arrival, but we called the owner who helped us with directions. We were very happy with the cottage and its facilities, everything was just as we expected, and it looked exactly like the photos on the website. Due to COVID, the owner advised that some soft furnishings etc. had been removed but this did not impact on our stay. The cottage was very clean, and we felt completely safe. We had a slight issue with the televisions not being tuned in when we arrived but, again, we just called the owner, and this was resolved very quickly and to our satisfaction. The cottage itself is cosy and homely, set in beautiful surroundings, very rural. The beds were super comfy and apart from a couple of issues with the oven (the door locked twice while we were cooking, ruined one culinary masterpiece as the oven turned itself off and we couldn't open the door for 40 mins, but luckily the second time it happened we'd just removed our food from the oven. We checked the manual, and this looked like some sort of cleaning cycle but we'd no clue how to clear it), everything else though was perfect and these small issues didn't spoil our stay in the slightest. We particularly liked the log burner, this made for some cosy nights in front of the tv and we lit this 2 or 3 times during our stay. The only criticism I have of the property is that it only has one bathroom. The cottage sleeps 5 people so having two bathrooms would be a definite benefit, even if there was a separate WC, however, I appreciate this is an older property with limited space, so adding another bathroom could be problematic. If you are travelling with dogs, as we were, the garden is very secure and there are some lovely walks nearby. We also became friends with the horses in the field behind the cottage who would come and visit us every day! Overall, this is a really lovely cottage and we will definitely stay here again.”
