The second floor has a super open-plan living area, which is light and spacious, with a superbly fitted kitchen with a dual fuel range cooker. The living area has a cosy 6-seater sofa and is the ideal place to relax after a day by the sea. From the Velux windows, there is a roof top view towards Pittenweem and Largo Law. The property dates back to 1877, and the street is named after Captain Rodger, owner of the clipper ship, Taeping. The East Neuk of Fife has a long seafaring history and the Fisheries Museum tells the story of the area.

Just a short stroll from Arc House you can explore the old wynds and lanes leading down to the seafront in the picturesque fishing village of Cellardyke, with a sandy beach and old harbour. There is a water sports centre with sea kayaking and open canoeing available for you to explore the shore line with expert tuition. The Fife Coastal Path can be joined here, and in either direction you can enjoy fantastic coastal views over the Firth of Forth and which takes you to pretty fishing villages, secluded coves and white sandy beaches.

Anstruther is just a 5-minute walk away with its working harbour, local pubs, seafront coffee shops, fish and chip shops, galleries and shops. Freshly caught fish and shellfish are available locally, including lobster, crabs and white fish. From April to September there are daily ferries and boat trips leaving from Anstruther that take you to the Isle of May, which is a National Nature Reserve and home to colonies of sea birds, including puffins. The surrounding waters are the habitat of seal colonies and makes a great day out for the family.

Just 9 miles away is St Andrews, which is well worth a visit with lots to do to suit all ages. There is an aquarium, sandy beach, harbour, great shopping with local shops as well as high street names, and numerous top class restaurants, pubs and bistros. If you like a round of golf on your holiday, St Andrews is world famous as being the home of golf. Golfers will enjoy visiting the British Golf Museum or playing on one of the championship courses. There are also several local courses within a short driving distance from Arc House. However you spend your time, Arc House is an ideal holiday home in which to relax and unwind. The charming courtyard is an ideal spot to sit and enjoy a glass of wine whilst planning the next day’s excursion. Beach 200 yards. Shop 200 yards, pub and restaurant 300 yards.

There are narrow, steep stairs to the first floor entrance and to the second floor.

“Beautiful flat in a central location. Decorated to a high standard, everything works well and is modern and efficient. Lots of careful attention to detail helped us have a wonderful holiday here. Plenty of room and storage and very comfortable. Lovely sea views from the top level. Lots of stairs though so care would be needed for the less agile.”

Beautiful house, and in a great location, close to St Andrews and lots of villages also close to Craigtoun country park which is just like a London Park but certainly not as many people ( beautiful) .”

“We loved everything about the house. The house has stairs at the entry and again within the house. We were fine, but its not for anyone with limited mobility. We enjoyed the very generous welcome pack. We would recommend the house to friends and family.”
