Ideally located for exploring the beautiful city of Edinburgh and for guests who love the great outdoors as there are many walking and cycling routes. . Second Floor:

All on the second floor.

Open plan living space.

Living area: With 32" Sky TV (basic package).

Dining area.

Kitchen area: With electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, Tassimo coffee machine and washing machine.

Bedroom: With double bed.

Bathroom: With shower over bath, toilet and heated towel rail.. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. . Enclosed garden (shared with neighbours). On road parking. No smoking.. This second floor apartment has fabulous views across the Firth of Forth to Fife from the open plan living space. There is a well-equipped kitchen area including a Tassimo coffee machine complete with coffees and hot chocolate and for those little extra snacks a George Foreman grill, lovely big bathroom and a bright bedroom to complete the picture. There is a pub that serves good food just 100 yards down the road, as well as a handy corner shop for all your needs. Blackness Castle, an impressive 15th-century fortress used for filming some Outlander scenes, is a few hundred yards along the coast where there are good walks. The central location, close to Linlithgow, 5 miles, with its historic palace and impressive loch, allows easy access to St Andrews, Stirling, Perth and the Trossachs, while close by are Hopetoun House, Dalmeny House and The House of the Binns. There is go karting, paintballing, Go Ape ropes course and indoor climbing all nearby. There is a good choice of eating places, shops and pubs in Linlithgow, and farm shops are also close by for great local produce. Linlithgow Palace is also worth a visit. There are good road and rail links to Edinburgh, 30 minutes, and Glasgow, 40 minutes. Beach 100 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 100 yards.

"All I can say is thank you to Eileen and John for letting me stay in your lovely apartment for the two weeks. The welcome pack was excellent. 2020 has been a horrible year, but it was made a lot better due to my stay in Blackness.The apartment is small and very cosy and has everything you need to make you at home. I stayed for 2 weeks and didn't want to leave. A well appointed living room/kitchen and bathroom and a cosy little bedroom. The view from the living room window is amazing and the general peace and quiet was sublime. There are lots of choices for walks from beaches and coastal paths to lovely Woodlands.The only area I can mark down is local amenities. But that is due to Blackness being a small village with only a pub/shop. Everything else you need can be found 3 - 4 miles away in Bo'ness or Linlithgow.I fully recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to stay there.Thanks again Eileen and John. "Lovely apartment. Bed a bit hard hence comfort rating, didn't sleep great, but some people like hard beds.Lots of extras provided which was nice. You need to be aware it's up several flights of stairs so you need to be reasonably fit, especially unloading and loading up. No lift. Also parking is tricky, we managed in September but I imagine summer would be harder.Nothing in blackness but a pub, think there was meant to be a shop but didn't see it. It's quite a good central location for seeing the area.Hosts lovely and communication excellent. Would recommend the apartment."

"We had a great week at this accommodation. The location is ideal for exploring the local area, there are so many places to explore on the doorstep and lots of lovely walks.Food in the area is very good with lots of choice from takeaways, pubs and restaurants all in easy reach.The apartment is excellent; very well equipped and perfectly clean. The host made us feel very welcome with lots of extras such as flowers and chocolates on arrival. We felt covid safe here, the host provided hand gel, antibacterial wipes etc."

"I loved this tiny coastal bay town, the view over the bay and across to Blackness Castle was lovely, the locals were friendly and the hosts easy to communicate with and extremely helpful. They had even decorated the entire apartment for me for Christmas and it was truely beautiful. Being around 30 minutes drive to both Stirling and Edinburgh, 10 minutes to Linlithgow and about 45 minutes to Glasgow it is a well situated apartment for site seeing if you have a car. I hope to stay again sometime. The apartment is small but cosy and well presented."
