Situated on the Isle of Cumbrae this spacious ground floor holiday apartment is situated only 100 yards from the waters edge. Millport sports a beautiful sandy beach, with tropical palms fronting the promenade and yachts moored out in the sheltered bay. From here you can explore the charm of a seaside town with café’s, shops and bars and bistro. A haven for wildlife, Cumbrae attracts migrant birds from around the world, and the flora of the island is equally varied with a visit to the island’s Marine Research Station with museum and aquarium a must. Millport is also the home of Europe’s smallest cathedral and Britain’s narrowest house. An ideal location for cycling, walking and golf, and the National Watersports Centre offers courses to suit all aspect of water based activities. The main Newton Bay offer sheltered anchorages and secure moorings. Beach 100 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 100 yards.

"I truly had the most amazing week at the Island Escape!Upon arrival, I was greeted with very thoughtful welcoming provisions which included bread, milk, butter, wine, biscuits and sweets.The accommodation was spotlessly clean and had everything that myself and my dog Willis would need for a comfortable week. The location was perfect for the local amenities and we spent many hours exploring the island as well as visiting areas of interest on the mainland (the bus and ferry connections were very frequent and a return trip to Largs was only £7 all in!).The local people were all very friendly and the George pub was only a few minutes away (nobody even minded the fact that I was English!).I was lucky enough to see seals swimming in the bay and I spent most afternoons sitting on one of the many beautiful (and mostly deserted) beaches or coves, just admiring the beauty of the island.I will most definitely be making a return visit!"

"Great little flat, two minute walk a way from the shops and pubs! This island was beautiful. 5 min drive away from flat to ferry port, although there was a bus stop a minute walk away from the flat. The flat had everything we needed and more! The owners even left us a bottle of Prosecco! The only problem we had staying here was the water/heating system made a loud tapping noise and it was always through the night but after the second night we went to a pharmacy and bought some ear plugs so after that we were fine! We 100% would stay here again it was beautiful, perfect flat for us on a perfect little island!"
