"Great cottage in a fantastic location. Had everything we needed and owner answered any questions very promptly."

"The first thing I would mention about Cor An Easan is its excellent location. It is within walking distance of the Craggan House Hotel, which does high-quality pub grub. Across the road from the Craggan is the path down to Skinnet beach, which is beautiful (make sure to check the tide times before visiting though, most of it disappears at high tide and you could risk being cut off). A little further up the toad is Talmine, which has a shop, post office and another lovely beach. A five minute drive from Talmine brings you to Achininiver, which has one of the most beautiful beaches I've been on in Scotland. Within an hour's drive of Cor An Easan there are lots of interesting places to visit, including Ben Hope (the most northernly munro, with spectacular views from the summit), Smoo cave and a ferry and bus tour from near Durness that will take you to Cape Wrath, the most North-Westerly point of mainland Britain. My wife and I have been a lot of places all over Scotland, and this area was one of, if not the, most beautiful places we've been to. Make sure you're well versed in how to drive single-track road though!Cor An Easan itself is a lovely holiday cottage. It's situated in the small village of Midtown, but stands on its own at the end of a short gravel track, so feels very private. Adding to this is the fact that a gate at the top of the garden leads directly onto an expanse of wild moorland - I absolutely loved this, and my dog and I spent hours on the moor. There had been little rain when we visited though, it would be very boggy after significant rainfall. The garden also has a decking area that catches the sun from the south and west, so acts as a suntrap. The cottage had a lovely big kitchen/dining area, and the kitchen was well-stocked with equipment. The beds were comfortable and plenty of towels and linen ate provided. The cottage also has excellent broadband, probably due to the junction box being about 20 metres from the house! If you like a bit of peace and quiet and spending lots of time outdoors then I highly recommend this holiday cottage. We had a fantastic week and would love to come back."

"We absolutely loved our stay, very cosy cottage set in beautiful surroundings we had the best week we’ve had in years... so much so that we wished (really!) that we lived there, we will definitely come back again next year. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us"

"We had a lovely break in October 2020. The cottage was well equipped with everything we could possible need. The extra information we received due to the Covid Restrictions were very useful and certainly put our minds at rest, we felt safe and comfortable with the extra steps taken during our stay. Although the cottage is remote (which is what we wanted) there is a pub and shop within walking distance. It has been noted by others that the Tv reception could be problematic, noting this we took our Amazon Firestick and using the free WiFi we had no problems at all. The views from the cottage and surrounding area were lovely. Many thanks to all concerned for making our stay enjoyable and safe."

"We had a magical holiday in stunning surroundings. The scenery changes by the hours."

Chris, August 2020

"The cottage was very comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well equipped. The bed was very comfortable as was the sitting rooms. Although the tv didn’t work well, the WiFi did. I had my iPad and got Netflix and all the channels through that. The cottage is well fenced in, with plenty of ground ,so my dog was able to lie outside. There is a shop I walked to most days ,although shut on Sunday, it is well stocked and the staff were lovely. The area and scenery is the main reason for going and it didn’t disappoint. The beaches and hills/mountains were beautiful. Go up the steps at back of cottage through the gate and you can walk for miles within seeing a road."
