Guest Comments

"Beautiful, well- equipped cottage with stunning views. Cleaned to a very high standard- we felt very safe in the cottage with a clinically vulnerable person in our party. A few small things to rectify: no heated towel rail and difficult to dry towels and swimsuits in this in-between season without central heating. Also dehumidifier in back bedroom ticks on timer when not on, and came on in the middle of the night, despite the notice on it, disturbing the sleepers in back bedroom. All in all a lovely stay and a great break away for us. Thank you."

"Fabulous place to stay. We have stayed here several times and can't wait to return. The house is lovely and has everything you need. You get a lovely welcome pack for the hoomans and treats for the waggies. It is so peaceful you have no option but to relax. It is a good base if you want to explore south west wales"

Helen, September 2020

"Absolutely beautiful! Fabulous view. The bungalow is well stocked with everything you need. The hot tub was great too. Would definitely recommend!"

"Fantastic cottage, Mark and Sue were extremely helpful throughout our stay. We would recommend this to anyone."

"This property is a wonderful haven after exploring the beaches and coastal paths of Pembrokeshire. As previous reviews have mentioned the decor, furnishings and equipment supplied are everything you would wish for.Enjoying the views from the decking ,hot-tub and outside play room are very lovely when the sun shines. The minus points are the back bedroom is quite dark compared to the others and one toilet between 6 is not ideal but hardly the fault of the owners. The Wi-Fi is adequate in some rooms but I had no phone reception anywhere.Although Amroth is just a mile away it's a steep downhill/uphill walk to get there so you do need to use the car for eating out or going for a drink. It should be advised that the property is also situated on a single track road with a couple of blind bends and requires care although the road is quiet."

"Caldey View is an amazing property with everything you need and more. The property was spotless and stunning. We enjoyed sitting out in the hot tub which was luxury for us. Our dogs enjoyed their stay, what we liked was not having to get in the car to go anywhere as it as such a quick walk to get to the beach. We would thoroughly recommend this property and fully intend to visit again in the near future."

"Had the most amazing time @ Caldey View Cottage! The property was beautiful inside and out and had everything we needed for a fabulous weekend away. The hosts left us a bottle of wine and a box of luxury biscuits as a gift which was such a lovely touch! The hot tub was perfect and the views are outstanding! Book it!! You won’t regret it!!!"

"Amazing amazing amazing!! Absolutely beautiful cottage, everything you could possibly need is there. The owners have thought of everything and more. Beautiful, practical, clean and amazing. I will definitely return."

Kelly, February 2020

"The property is situated with great views over the sea and parking right outside the front gate for two cars. The house is well designed and decorated, the large patio doors afford great view and allows lots of natural light in to the property. The kitchen is well equipped and easy to use.The beds were very comfortable and everyone slept well.Heating system was easy to operate and kept the property cosy but did have difficulty keeping the fire going in the wood burner, but not the end of the world. No mobile signal but wifi good, we brought our sons Xbox and he enjoyed using it, no issues at all.Shower great plenty of hot water and great non slip floor surface, able to shower and walk about bathroom with confidence.Hot tub fantastic and really enjoyed it and the view from it.Local attractions and amenities very accessible. We had a very enjoyable family break and although blessed with great weather, even if it had been terrible weather the place is big enough and bright enough to avoid feelings of cabin fever.Very relaxing stay and already booked for next year. Not a deal breaker but if it were possible to add a second toilet it would be very welcome, we were at times competing/waiting to gain access to the bathroom and there were only three of us in a property that can accommodate six."

"We had a great week in the cottage. It’s outstanding for its facilities and was spotless. Would highly recommend!"

Laura, January 2020

"We had the most amazing time over Christmas. The cottage was incredibly well equipped and plenty of dishes etc to serve up Christmas dinner. On arrival we had a lovely welcome basket which was such a surprise. The views were to die for especially from the hot tub. A shirt walk downhill to the pub but our old (14 years) springer spaniel did not like the hill on the way up. Truly beautiful"

Kate, December 2019

"I booked the cottage for my friends 40th birthday, from the moment we arrived we knew we had chosen a gem!The cottage was absolutely spotless and was so well equipped, there was everything you could ever need. The hottub was fabulous and the view was breathtaking. Great communications with the owner and an info folder in the property answered any question you could think of!The welcome hamper was a lovely touch, I wouldn't hesitate to book again!"

"For self catering cottage it had the best set up in the kitchen that we have stayed in. We didn’t need to go out as the view was stunning."

Helen, November 2019

"One of the best lodges we have stayed in - absolutely everything you could think of to hand and lovely welcome back included Beautiful views - unfortunately it rained heavily when we stayed - and would have liked to have had a pub a bit closer (nearest in wiseman bridge -about a 20 min walk downhill and 30 mins up- very steep) but we took plenty of supplies and didn’t have problem to get taxi into saundersfoot, which cost £10 between 5 of us Definitely recommend and stay again Only thing I would point out is there is only one toilet and bathroom if quite a few staying"
