Regular trains also follow this route - said to be one of the most beautiful rail journeys in the world - and for boat lovers there is a ferry from nearby Starcross to Exmouth. From Exmouth you can enjoy cruises or fishing trips or get a water taxi to the famous River Exe Café in the middle of the estuary. In the other direction Teignmouth Newton Abbot and the historic maritime city of Plymouth are all within easy reach by rail or road. For those truly wishing to get away from it all a visit to the awe-inspiring landscape of Dartmoor is a must. The apartment is on the second floor and the open-plan living area has far-reaching views across the estuary to Exmouth and the Jurassic Coast.
