This beautiful cottage is located 3 miles outside the village of Eyeries, on the Beara Peninsula, overseeing Coulagh Bay and the mouth of the Kenmare River in the southwest of Ireland, explore the seaside town of Castletownbere just 3 miles from the house. With views drifting out towards the countryside and mountains, Caha Cottage is a wonderful property, perfect for families wishing to build some memories in a traditional destination. The interior welcomes guests inside with two beautiful sitting rooms, the first is centred by a feature fireplace with a stone surround, whilst the second is comfy and inviting with high ceilings, and French doors which open up to the cosy patio area. Continue an evening in the exceptional kitchen/diner, designed for six people to gather together at the table, enjoying the warmth from the woodburning stove. A country cottage theme follows the layout round, over to the utility area, and a shower room completes the ground floor. You will be impressed by the selection of rooms on offer upstairs, especially the family room, set-up for three guests, with a scenic outlook to compliment every suite, a calming landscape which welcomes the mountain views inside. A family bathroom also lies on the upper level, complete with a shower over the bath, so you can get ready at ease morning and night. The village offers a true insight into Irish village life, with quaint fishermen cottages, and traditional pubs offering a warm Irish welcome and hill walking readily accessible within minutes of the house, why not try The Beara way walking trail around the Beara penninsula popular with cyclists and walkers, the route over the Tim Healy pass is very scenic with spectacular views. Within easy reach is Kenmare, a town full of character and colour, with long winding streets forming the backdrop for farmers' markets, artists' galleries, lovely little boutiques and some of the best restaurants in Ireland. Other nearby attractions include the Wild Atlantic Way, Ireland's only cable car, which departs from Ballaghboy on the tip of Beara Peninsula and leads to the peaceful Dursey Island or why not visit Europe’s largest standing Ogham Stone at Ballycrovane. If you fancy traveling a bit further Mizen head is the most Southern tip of Ireland and is 100 Km away and a stopover at Bantry house and gardens is possible on the route to the head. This region has plenty on offer, including sea safaris, adventure centres, world-renowned walks and cycle routes, making Caha Cottage a fabulous base for sight-seeing and so much more.
