“Gorgeous cottage in a very convenient location.Friendly helpful hosts and lots of delightful animals around, especially loved the fluffy chickens.Disappointed not to be able to swim at Instow due to poor water quality a permanent situation sadly but the beach is great for walking especially if you have a dog.”

“Had a fabulous time here, the cottage is so well kitted out, literally everything you could need. Kitchen modern and great to have a washerdryer.Hot tub perfect just outside the front door, completely private not overlooked.Owners of the property whilst living onsite, you dont see them but you know they are there should you need them. The chickens and Moppet the cat were also super cute and very friendly. Good choice of restaurants within a short walk, all friendly and welcoming. Sea views from bedroom window are lovely as is the location itself, excellent for walking. We will definitely be back :)”

“Wonderful cottage so cosy comfortable location superb my only criticism is that the website should state the water is not suitable for bathing”

“A quiet retreat to relax and recharge. Lovely hosts. The location is ideal for you to do as much or as little as you like.Access to the Tarka Trail makes for easy walking, cyclingwheelchair with lovely views of the estuary and countryside. The wide open sands of the tidal estuary make for lovely evening strolls and to watch the sunset.A short walk to the Westleigh Inn is worth it good beer and the local steakale pie is to die for delicious but enormous! If youre looking for a Sunday roast, I cant rate the Pig on the Hill highly enough only a short drive across the estuary. If the opportunity arises, I will be going back but dont underestimate the journey tofrom N. Devon; the A39 isnt a quick road and the M5 delays around Bristol are significant. Itll only get worse during the summer holiday season. My recommendation is to travel early hours and spend the day locally before checking in and do the reverse on the return leg.”

“Great place to stay close to the beach but in a quiet location.”

“We loved it!! This is a real find. There is nothing about this cottage that isn't wonderful with great attention to detail. Really well appointed and super comfortable. Sadly no Tim's Boats that we could find operating but trip to Lundy was excellent as was the cycle hire shop in Barnstaple which had a great choice of electric and normal bikes which we rode to Torrington and back followed by a soak in the lovely hot tub at Myrtle Loft. For meals out the Royal George at Appledore was our favourite but others more local were pretty good too. John's deli a five minute walk away stocked delicious goodies, papers, ready meals and other groceries. RHS Rosemoor was beautiful and well worth a visit. Will return when there is another vacancy may not be this year as it it so popular!”

“A very well equipped apartment, with a warm welcome and several extras. A relaxing garden and a very enjoyable hot tub. Instow beach is not much for swimming, with the tidal waters providing a large amount of good sand but not much water most of the time!”

“A wonderful break in superb accommodation in a fantastic location. We were the first post lockdown guests and everything was perfect, the hosts could not have been more welcoming. We were blessed with great weather and explored locally on foot and bike. It was wonderful to return to our little haven in an evening to chill and plan the next days activities in such comfy and picturesque surroundings. We will definitely be back, thank you”
