These two ground floor holiday apartments (refs 29565 and 29566) are adjacent to the owner’s apartment and located in the coastal village of Blue Anchor. Well-appointed and presented, the apartments are ideal for those looking for a comfortable haven whilst exploring this delightful rural area of Somerset. The apartments benefit from a shared garden and hot tub with views over the Bristol Channel and the renowned West Somerset Railway, and they even have a shared laundry room, with washing machine and tumble dryer that guests can use. The properties are located a short walk from Blue Anchor Beach, the sandy part is tidal, and the Blue Anchor Station for the steam railway. There are also local shops, pub and restaurants within walking distance. Further beaches can be found at Dunster and Porlock. There is superb scenery and walking on the South West Coastal Path or inland on Exmoor. Visit the Victorian villages of Lynmouth and Lynton, famous for the Watersmeet Gorge (NT), Valley of the Rocks and the funicular cliff railway. Enjoy a walk and an ice cream on the promenade at Minehead, which also has a good array of shops. The West Somerset Railway is worth a visit for those with an interest in steam engines. Dunster Castle (NT) with its beautiful terraced gardens, deer park and mill, or Porlock Weir make for an interesting day out. Perfect for the whole family, there is a public indoor swimming pool situated just ¼ mile away. Fishing is also available nearby. Beach 200 yards, cafe 400 yards and swimming pool 500 yards. Being able to jump on the steam train was a real treat for us, our little one loved being able to watch the trains go by from the kitchen window. Hot tub was a great bonus. "WHAT A LOVELY APARTMENT EVERYTHING U NEED IS THERE WOUNDERFUL OUTLOOK OF THE SEA AND STEAM RAILWAY ONYOUR DOOR STEP THERE WAS ONLY ONE NEGATIVE POINT THE STEPS FOR THE HOT TUB WHERE VERTICAL AND TO NARROW I FOUND HARD TO GET IN AND OUT . "Location is fantastic for us as we could walk from the door, enjoy the close proximity to the coast and make the most of what Minehead, Dunster and Watchet had to offer. The 15 minute walk to the nearest pub - The Blue Anchor Hotel - didn't deter us and the staff there were friendly and fare on offer pretty good and reasonably priced. The level crossing and Blue Anchor station were really useful and we were delighted to be able to use the train.The accommodation itself is excellent - spacious, light, well-equipped, impeccably clean and the beds really comfortable! Linda is a warm and friendly host and we appreciated the welcome and farewell we received. I am already looking forward to returning in the near future."
