A fabulous, ground floor, contemporary apartment, within a stunning, superbly designed building, set on the shores of the beach at Downderry. The property has gated security, private parking and lift access, a lovely south facing, communal, walled garden and a bright light airy interior. Boasting full length glass windows in the open plan living room with sea views and patio doors opening out onto a private, paved, south facing patio, leading onto the lawned garden. Just a stone’s throw from the superb beach and a short stroll into the village, with its little shop, pub and restaurant. The entire property has underfloor heating and fully tiled bathrooms. From the double bedroom, there is a patio door leading into an enclosed, paved, patio area. Celtic Shores is situated next to a small lane, which leads directly on to the slipway to the beach. The beach stretches along the coastline to the neighbouring village of Seaton, which enjoys facilities such as public house, café and country walks through the Seaton Valley nature reserve. This is a super holiday destination for a family with children, looking for a beach holiday or for couples, in the quieter times, seeking fresh air, peace and coastal walks. Golf available nearby. "Fantastic accommodation, fully furnished and equipped to a high standard. Struggle to find any negatives but if being personal, larger bath towels and the creaking of floor boards, you cant creep around quietly! That's it. Would definitely recommend and return to stay at Celtic Shores. We had two cars which was a little difficult with parking as no visitors spaces, though you can park 5 mins walk away in open car park for £6 per day."

"Lovely apartment, well equipped and beautifully clean on arrival. Other residents friendly and very helpful. Local area has a good pub for good pub grub(Inn-on-the-Shore) and an excellent Bistro Cafe (Blue Plate). Both recommended.Difficult to be critical as this is a great place in a lovely spot. To be really 'picky' - towels are not great quality and there are not enough of them.That said, all round a most enjoyable time in an excellent apartment - Thank you!"

"Lovely comfortable open-plan apartment with fantastic sea views. Very well appointed (I think they have more kitchen equipment that we do at home!). The garden is very nice and secure for young children. Neighbours friendly. Great location only a very short walk from the beach. Good local shop very close. We had a brilliant week here. :-)"

"Just returned from a lovely two weeks holiday at Celtic Shores. The apartment was exceptionally clean which was so pleasing. My youngest child spends a lot of time playing with cars on the floor so I'm always relieved to find somewhere is of the standard I expect. Well equipped kitchen - baking trays could do with replacing and no oven gloves. Small fridge and freezer available (separate). One small ask would be for wine flutes. We did a mix of cooking at the apartment/eating out. There is only the Deli I would recommend for eating in Downderry but its pricey. The Copley Arms in Hessenford is 3 miles away and offers good home cooked food.Bedrooms were comfortable, good standard of mattress and pillows. The ensuite and family bathroom made getting ready in the mornings and bedtimes much easier.The beach is accessible by the garden gate and a tiny walk down the slip way - we spent many hours skimming stones and general play. The garden is not suitable for play as its communal and an area for relaxation. This was something we overlooked in the detail when booking but when you have the beach it's not difficult to comply with. There's also a small play park in Seaton and a court for football/basketball (on the court is a storage area with play equipment). You can walk down into Seaton via the beach, using the road is a bit hair raising in parts.I would recommend guests take some extra towels with them, those provided are in good condition but very thin and only 4 bath towels provided. We ordered a supermarket delivery for the day after arrival - this worked well as the nearest large supermarkets are over 10 miles away. However, there is a small shop at the top of the road for which you can obtain most basics on arrival and when running low.Our main grumble was the outside seating area - the table and chairs on the patio have seen better days, one of the chairs is broken. The seating area accessed from the main bedroom is a little sad - it needs a good sweep, power wash and the table cleaned etc. Both could be lovely areas to sit out but they're not and I've reflected this in my score for comfort and equipment.Be careful with Satnav as it tries to send you down some very very skinny lanes - our advice is stick to the directions on the booking paperwork on every return journey to the apartment."
