Please note: There are 12 steps to the decked area and an unfenced pond in the grounds.. The Lookout (ref 30587) and The Garden Flat (ref 29650) are both tastefully decorated apartments situated peacefully off the beaten track in an acre of hilltop gardens with open views across the valley to the sea. They are attached to the owner’s home but offer privacy and great views. A large shared decking area overlooks Ilsham Valley, and each property has its own garden furniture, ideal for cream teas, enjoying a glass of wine or just relaxing and taking in the view.

The Garden Flat enjoys a private, covered patio area close to a large pond, and there is plenty of outside space to enjoy, along with a large area of the garden is enclosed which allows pets to roam freely.

Tucked away on the boundary of Lincombe Woods, you are within walking distance of Wellswood village shops, wooded walks, meadows and beaches. Meadfoot Beach is closest and arguably Torbay’s finest. With its southerly outlook, clean blue waters and views, it deserves its reputation as one of the region’s best.

Wellswood village is a 10-minute wooded walk away, and is one of the most charming areas of Torquay. Everything you need for day to day living is here including a pub, supermarket, ATM, restaurants, cafés, pharmacy, post office, patisserie, salons, barber, wine bar and village pantry amongst others.

The local dog-friendly pub is known for its excellent food, sunny beer garden and friendly atmosphere. The village is also the birthplace of crime writer Agatha Christie and was home of the Gleneagles Hotel, which inspired John Cleese’s ’Fawlty Towers’. Also offering a cosy, warm winter let, many guests return to enjoy an off season ‘English Riviera’ winter break. The apartments are a 5-minute drive to the marina, harbour and main Torquay shopping areas. Beach ¾ mile. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

"Beautiful location, and some great walks right on the doorstep. If you are looking for a tranquil getaway or want to explore Torquay this is an excellent place to stay, just remember your walking shoes. The apartments are clean and well appointed. We went with 2 puppies and they were welcomed by everyone. We look forward to staying again. There are also some great dog-friendly beaches close by."

"This view from this flat is breathtaking. The flat is clean and has all of the things you need as well as being dog friendly. James was very nice and accomodating. Unfortunately the WIFI signal is not good but that's not going to spoil the holiday. The only thing I will say as not a criticism but a suggestion, is that there could have been things at hand such as hand wash and kitchen cleaner and cloths. All in all, this is a lovely place to stay and I recommend it especially to pet owners."

"Really lovely apartment, comfortably furnished and cosy. Fabulous views as the location overlooks Torquay and you can see for miles, some fabulous walks and loads to do in the area. I will definitely stay again, just one small gripe - I took some dvd’s and there wasn’t a DVD player - great, large smart tv but I would have liked to binge watch some films - however, this flat is still a 10 out of 10"

"Excellent flat, has everything you needed for a great holiday. Jim, the owner, was fantastic and gave advise on walks, pubs etc. He has even compiled a " ledger" with all the local walks and an easy route to the pub !! Archie our dog loved sitting looking out the window at the stunning views.The decked patio was a great place to sit and half quiet drink and soak up the sea views. The apartment was well laid out and a comfy bed, great " smart" telly and easy control for the central heating, unfortunately we had to use a few nights ! The welcome pack left by Jim is a great touch and greatly enjoyed.We will certainly be returning"

"You will be able to choose any one of the following three options if we or the accommodation provider cancel your booking, or if you cancel your booking because UK government public health measures mean that it is unlawful to travel to or make use of the accommodation you booked:
Full refund - we will refund you the full amount you have paid for your booking.
Transfer to a later date or different accommodation - subject to availability, we will help you move your booking to a later date or even a new location or accommodation with no admin fees, but please be aware that if the cost of your new accommodation is higher than your original booking, then you’ll need to pay the difference.
Choose an e-voucher to rebook your holiday online - you can request an e-voucher for the amount you have previously paid for your booking. You can then use it to book a new holiday online or towards another existing booking, without having to call us. Vouchers issued in 2020 are valid until 31st December 2020 and can be used on holidays departing before 31st December 2021.
Plus, to give our customers the added flexibility they need at this time, for any bookings with arrival dates on or before 31 December 2020, the following applies:

If you choose to cancel your holiday before your balance due date, then we will waive your liability for the remainder of the balance and no further amount will be collected from you. If you choose to cancel on or after your balance due date, then you will need to pay the cancellation charges (according to the number of days before the start of your holiday) as set out in the cancellation charges table which you can find in your booking conditions, as well as any applicable booking fees, admin charges or insurance premiums that you owe.
