This terraced, contemporary holiday property is located on the exclusive South Snowdon Wharf development in Porthmadog, and has lovely views out over the end of the famous Ffestiniog Railway to the boats moored in the harbour. As the tide rises and falls the ever-changing vista is utterly compelling, and the balcony is just the spot to most appreciate the view with a glass of wine or an al-fresco dinner. The little steam trains of the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway provide great entertainment as they bustle off on their spectacular journeys to either Blaenau Ffestiniog or Caernarfon. A short stroll takes you into the town centre, which offers a great choice of places to eat and drink. The picturesque Italianate village of Portmeirion, designed by Sir Clough Williams Ellis, is well worth a visit, as is the glorious sandy beach at Black Rock Sands; perfect bucket and spade territory or if you fancy a dip in the sea. Meanwhile, Blaenau Ffestiniog is an adrenaline junkie’s delight with Zip World, the largest zip wire zone in the world, Bounce Below, where you can bounce on trampoline nets deep underground in an old slate cavern, or the Stiniog downhill mountain bike trails. Beach 2 miles. Shop and restaurant 200 yards, pub 50 yards.

"Excellent location next to harbour and Ffestiniog Railway. Peaceful with lovely views, clean, well equipped with lovely new leather sofas to admire the view and watch the world go by. Fab holiday, thank you :)"

"Central position for the town and trains Harbour Veiw equipped to an acceptable level. We did find the bathroom small, may benefit by taking the bath out and putting in a walk in shower and that would free up space for storage and a towel rail.Apart from that we enjoyed our stay and would book it again."

"This was our 4th visit to Harbour View in the last 3 years and it certainly won't be our last as we are already booking for next year. Harbour View has all the comforts of home, great scenery, great location and local amenities, pubs, shops and cafes all within walking distance. There is loads of storage and everything you could want is provided (except towels). The owner is a really friendly person and goes out of his way to do whatever he can to make your stay as good as he possibly can and nothing is too much trouble. We were there 22 June 2019 to 6 July 2019 and within the first couple of days the water tank decided it wanted to break down and leak! The owner was so apologetic and tried to get a plumber and new boiler fitted asap and was in touch with us through the whole process, getting rather concerned that we wouldn't have hot water to which our reply was 'we have a kettle and a shower what more do we need?' We even offered to stay in to be there when workmen came so that we could let them in and explain the problem and all because we genuinely love the place and see it as our 'home from home' we have never felt that way about anywhere else we have stayed. Harbour View is such a relaxing place to stay, it's warm, cosy and inviting and we hate leaving it. Would we recommend Harbour View to other people? Without a shadow of a doubt the answer would be YES!"

"Had a great two weeks at Harbour View, seeing steam engines being serviced right outside the window was fantastic. The house was warm and comfortable, especially the bed and sofas, however as usual lack of kitchen equipment let it down, hence the 8. It was nice having two pint glasses, but only one tiny frying pan and Pyrex dishes without lids. A cafetiere would have been nice, but there was a teapot, toaster, microwave oven and hob, a good kettle and saucepans. The location was superb for us right next to the station, with it's bar serving real ales. The town has a variety of shops from Tesco to small cafes, all within walking distance and on the flat, the Chelsea Buns from Newell's were a real treat. If you book this expect some noise from the trains, whistles and bangs. (we loved it)"

"Lovely and clean house, with a view over the steam railway and harbour. We went in Feb but it would be even better in summer with the balcony to sit on in the evening enjoying the view."

"We have stayed in Harbour View 3 times now and think it is fabulous a real home from home for us, so much so that we have already booked in again next year! Everything is provided for you EXCEPT towels so take your own (which I prefer to do anyway). Electricity is via a coin meter which only takes OLD £1 coins BUT a trolley token (provided) works just as good! Great views from the roof terrace. It is an upside down property to take advantage of the lovely views of the Harbour (hence the name) steam train station and mountains in the background. Upstairs is an open plan kitchen/dining/living room of a really good size with the biggest roof terrace on the block of 4 properties. Downstairs there are 2 bedrooms (a double and a single) both are a good size and have full wall width wardrobes in each so plenty of storage. The bathroom is also a good size with a shower over the bath. The owner and his girlfriend are a lovely couple who are polite and friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of staying here."
