Relax in luxury in this beautiful house with picture windows overlooking the stunning loch and mountains beyond.. Carron House is a superb, contemporary, detached house set in its own generous gardens and enjoying stunning loch and mountain views. Situated in the quiet hamlet of Slumbay, just over a mile from the pretty West Highland village of Lochcarron, Carron House provides a high standard of accommodation in a beautiful and unspoilt setting.

The main entrance opens onto a spacious hall/dining area with solid wood flooring, high ceilings and glass panels that drink in the light. French doors open onto the patio area with the garden beyond. The living room on the ground floor has a welcoming wood burner and one of the sofas can be used as a sofa bed for two extra visitors, if required and there is a spacious shower room on the ground floor. A wide staircase leads up to the first floor with the landing area doubling as a second living room with comfortable seating and a large picture window that maximises the wonderful views across Loch Carron to the hills beyond. There are three attractively presented bedrooms, one with an en-suite bathroom and double basins, and a further separate family shower room.

The nearby village of Lochcarron is situated right on the shores of the loch, surrounded by the spectacular hills and mountains of Wester Ross. The village has good facilities, with a number of pubs, cafés and shops, as well as a golf course which is open to visitors. The area is also a haven for wildlife where otters and seals can be seen along the shore-line and dolphins have been spotted in the bay. The surrounding area provides some of most scenic locations to be found anywhere in the Highlands. A trip to Applecross via the highest pass road in Britain is a must. Known as the ’Pass of the Cattle’ and rising to over 2,000 feet, it affords amazing views across The Minch to the isles of Raasay and Skye. A paradise for lovers of the great outdoors, there are unlimited sporting opportunities such as climbing, hill-walking, fishing, canoeing, diving, sailing and cycling, all available locally. Beach 100 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.. Ground Floor:

Dining room: With wooden floor and French doors leading to garden.

Kitchen: With electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer.

Shower room: With shower cubicle and toilet.

First Floor:

Living room 2.

Bedroom 1: With kingsize bed and en-suite with bath and toilet.

Bedroom 2: With twin beds.

Bedroom 3: With single bed.

Shower room: With shower cubicle, toilet and heated towel rail.. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included, remainder at cost. Welcome pack. Large enclosed lawned garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. 2 dogs welcome free of charge, to be kept on a lead at all times (sheep country). Private parking for 4 cars. "What an absolutely stunning house, it has everything you could possibly need,The location is superb and the area has everything you need to have a fantastic holiday.We found the beds comfy and the house cosy, the kitchen is well equipped with all you need.The dog loved just staring out of the front doors at the sheep and we even had a stag in the garden!! There is plenty to do in the area and the lovely Loch Carron is right on your doorstep, for a lovely walk.The only thing that spoilt it (although it did not spoil anything about Carron House) was Covid-19 as we were originally going with another family, so we had to buy them out."

"Carron House is well appointed, situated close to the lock and local amenities, yet far enough away for total peace and relaxation. Bright and airy with plenty of space, large garden, but be aware if you are taking dogs, the garden is not enclosed at the top near the house but it’s on a lane with very little traffic but the rest is enclosed. A little more garden furniture would be nice to enjoy the stunning views outside on warm evenings. Overall a lovely place and well worth a visit."

"House was lovely but regards to how clean it was poor fridge was not clean, dog hairs on sofas we had a dog with us but he does not shed. No logs for fire, lack of toilet paper. Most places closed on Sunday."
