It’s a keen spot for nature lovers and bird watchers in particular, as it faces the wetlands which is on the other side of the estuary. Penclawdd, where there’s a supermarket, an ice cream parlour, The Estuary Bar, a cafe and various take-aways, is very close by. The Gower AONB is packed with beaches for you to make the most of, such as Broughton Bay and its enticing, Blue Pool, the extensive sands of Rhossili Bay and Oxwich Bay, as well as Worm's Head, a nature reserve enjoying panoramic sea views and rugged cliffs. For a day out with a difference, travel to Swansea with its Castle, Waterfront Museum, stadium and ample more attractions to keep you entertained, along with a beach and the Penllergare Valley Woods resting nearby for those wanting to take in those gorgeous views. Burry Port, Llanelli and Mumbles aren't far and hosts even more coastal delights for you to discover including lovely seafront restaurants and a range of independent galleries and shops, whilst plenty of picturesque settlements within the AONB provide quaint outings for all the family.
