Reviews

“We had a great time in myrtle cottage, everything you could wish for was available and comfortable. The area was particularly outstanding with beautiful coastline and great railway walks for our dog. Would highly recommend this property and the area.”

“Excellent location in centre of village with shop and pub with very good food.Owners very friendly and helpful.”

“Myrtle Cottage is lovely and we really enjoyed our stay. The lounge is a little dark and would have benefitted from little like the kitchen but in no way did this detract from the comfort.Surprisingly the noise from the road was barely noticeable at all. The cottage is located in a narrowing part of the road so any vehicles have to slow down. Its a main route so youd think it would be loud but it really isnt at all! Beds comfy, kitchen equipped with everything you need, pleasant private garden to the rear. Very enjoyable stay.”

“Ideal location for both beaches and coffee shops therefore ideal for our family. Bit of a shame about the parking but it proved to be no problem at all. A lovely welcome from the owners and caretaker.”

“Lovely cottage in a good location. Clean and very comfortable. Flowers, cake and dog biscuits for when we arrived. The cottage was nicely stocked and well equipped. Parking was never a problem. Would definitely stop here again.”

“Very pleased with accommodation, well equipped. Ideal location for exploring S. Devon. Only small point but sofas sagging in middle, which if weather is poor and spending a lot of time indoors may cause a few posture issues. Would recommend and would definitely stay again.”

“We loved everything about the cottage apart from the parking situation, which was particularly inconvenient when unloadingloading on arrival departure. The cottage was spotless and we enjoyed the homemade Victoria sponge kindly left for us in the kitchen. We were also pleased with the range of kitchen equipment provided. The beds were very comfortable and we slept soundly. The garden was private and enclosed as described.”

“Absolutely loved it. Perfect location for me to explore the south Devon coast. I had amazing dog walks not far from the cottage. I fell in love with the area. The cottage was lovely and cosy and the hosts really made me feel welcome. Parking in the road was no problem at all, shops were only a short drive away. Sandy beach was about 2025 minutes drive. I would love to come again!”
