One of the most amazing and unique things about this stunning apartment is the three separate balconies, all with breathtaking views over Torbay. An extra wide front door opens into a cathedral-like open plan living space with under floor heated wood-effect ceramics, vaulted ceilings and breathtaking panoramic views of the sparkling blue water and azure skies of Torbay. Arranged over 2 floors with striking contemporary design and luxury furnishings, spectacular floor to ceiling glass folding doors fully open onto a large terrace and the entire space is bathed in light and air. A glass balustrade staircase opposite the main entrance door leads down to the luxuriously carpeted lower bedroom accommodation.

This apartment is built into the hillside and carefully designed to take maximum advantage of the magical views over Brixham Harbour and all of Torbay.

Brixham is England's busiest fishing harbour, with a proud maritime history and makes a fantastic place for a holiday in South Devon. A popular destination with walkers, daytrippers, fishermen, rock climbers, naturalists and historians, making it one of Torbay’s top ten most visited attractions. The harbour is the main focal point of the town, but in recent years it has also become known for its arts scene and there are several galleries and workshops which are lovely to spend an afternoon browsing. The restaurants, as visitors might expect, mostly specialise in the local seafood brought home by the fishermen, and there are plenty that are well-regarded, some offering stunning sea views. Beach-lovers won’t be disappointed, as the town boasts several beaches, from the main Breakwater Beach to the quiet and secluded St Mary’s Bay.

Local attractions nearby include:

  • Berry Head Nature Reserve

  • Churston Cove

  • Bigbury and Burgh Island

  • Dartmouth Ferry and Steam Train

  • Ferry from Brixham to Torquay

Within half an hours drive are the very popular towns and villages of Torquay, Paignton and Totnes or if you prefer, a ferry sails to Torquay with its bustling shops, bistros, cafés, or take a boat trip to maritime Dartmouth, where you can ride on the Dartmouth steam railway or leisurely cruise along the River Dart. Visit Agatha Christie’s Greenway House and Dartmoor with its tours and quaint villages. Fine golf courses are also just a short drive away. Dartmouth and Salcombe are roughly 40 minutes and an hour away by car, both of which have charm and special attractions to offer. Make the most out of the local area by starting your adventure in Paignton, then visiting Dartmouth and Totnes via steam train, riverboat and bus. A fabulous way to enjoy these special places without having to worry about traffic, parking or anything bar relaxing and enjoying yourself. Visit Torquay on the Western Lady ferry or take the 'Round Robin' trip to the bay. If a day building sandcastles on the beach sounds more appealing, the extremely popular sandy beach of Broadsands is accessible by car.

For the little ones, you have Paignton Zoo, River Dart Country Park, Pennywell Farm and Woodlands Family Theme Park within easy reach, all guaranteed to provide that fun-packed day out for all ages.

“The location of cottage is absolutely fantastic, wonderful views of working harbour and out to sea. Great front balcony and upper terrace that get the sun all day. Well equipped and very comfortable upside down house. The only downside with all Brixham properties (and also contributes to its uniqueness) is narrow roads impacting on local parking. Lots of steps which ever way you choose to go. Ultimately good for you, but if you over indulge (easy to do there) half way up it doesn't feel so clever. I would definitely go again.”

“Lovely property and fantastic views from the balcony ,our 2nd stay and have already rebooked for next year. ”

“The property was in a fabulous location and was really well appointed. If we're being picky there could have been a few more mugs and some cups to fit into the coffee maker. And a few more smaller bowls. And some decent coat hangers. We had just a few motley ones. But a lovely place to stay, would definitely recommend it.”

“The property was very good, but it was let down things not working. We reported a bedroom window that couldnt be open ( no key to unlock) which couldnt be fixed, the weather was excellent so an opening window was vital! The electric velux shades did not work, control panel said no power! There was no information about simple lighting switches, tv, towel rails etc just a folder with instructions for appliances. The biofold doors were great except really dirty and skylights covered in birds mess, this was expensive and these simple overlooked items did somewhat spoil a very nice property. Whilst the kitchen was well supplied with crockery, pans, etc there were not simple condiments, salt and pepper.”
