“A beautiful hillside cottage above Penclawdd with wonderful views across Carmarthen Bay. The village has a range of food outlets and a great supermarket. The cottage is set up to a high 'eco' standard and has every necessity. It is warm and comfortable and we much appreciated the local produce that welcomed us. Parking is near the row of cottages (just below the garden) but you can unload closer. Excellent for walkers near many paths but remember the path down to the village is steep! By car you can reach all parts of the Gower easily and quickly.”

“Absolutely amazing little place to stay. The only reason I didn't give tens for everything where very little details. The boiler was loud but I was pre warned about this. Just when your a light sleeper it's something to consider. Locally everything is lovely. The local pubs though don't do food but there are very many other places that do we just weren't aloud to take the dog so that hamperd us a little. The cottage is filled with everything you could possibly need. The little garden is handy and the views were truly amazing. Very easy process to book and the owners were amazing. Would 100% go again.”

“The cottage was wonderfuly welcoming. Generously stocked with everything needed for our break. There was a lovely welcome pack on arrival with quality coffee and tea and scrumptious welsh cakes, The fire was prepared ready with a generous basket of logs. The cottage was spotlessly clean with really comfy beds and a lovely views over the estuary. Shops and restaurants and a pub a short walk away and access to walking paths nearby which my dogs enjoyed. Maps of nearby walking paths, attractions and beaches was provided. I couldn't find a single fault. We had a lovely time here and would definitely return ”

“Lovely cottage, well equipped, comfortable beds and lovely bedlinen! The only slight negative was that with the 2 dogs the garden was very tiny and didnt have a gate. Other than that very happy and really appreciated the excellent coffee, oatcakes and delicious cake a delightful touch! Many thanks to the owners.”

“Excellent base for the Gower and South West Wales. Fantastic walking. Very good local facilities in Penclawdd.Cottage very comfortable, well laid out and lovely views across the estuary.Cottage is up a very steep, narrow, single track lane and parking may be an issue, are the only slight concerns for the less confident and mobile. But well worth the effort overall.”

“Nice cottage, if a little tricky to get to on the very steep, narrow road. Everything provided you can think of really. Being quite an old cottage, expect creaky floors upstairs. Not sure why there is a stable door on the second bedroom, it does make it very noisy to openclose in the night. Otherwise, fantastic little cottage and would recommend.”

Our hosts were friendly and generous with local gifts we were made to feel very welcome. Jan's directions on how to reach Bryn Heulog were perfect.”
