Moving through the house, a contemporary shower room, in keeping with the property's high standard, provides a place to freshen up after a day of touring, with luxury bedding and towels provided. When it's time to sleep, the bedroom has Egyptian cotton bedding and an inviting, king-size mattress with a zip and link function making it ideal for couples or friends sharing. Outside, spend a romantic evening in the hot tub while looking up at the stars on the decking, or dine alfresco with an incomparable view. In the spring and summer, you may hear corncrakes near the home, and year-round you might catch the local curlews, oystercatchers, herons, otters, seals, and other wildlife on the shore and coast near the house. If you can pull yourself away from this wonderful home, go along the shoreline route to Stornoway for a variety of restaurants, cafés, and shops. The property is also conveniently located on the Iolaire trail, with a spectacular coastline walk to the Iolaire monument and breath-taking sea views across the Minch to the Shiant Isles, the Isle of Skye, and the mainland. Should you choose to explore further, the town also has a ferry port and an airport, but if you prefer to put on your walking boots, you can make your way to Lews Castle and gardens, which have mountain bike paths, walks, a castle, a museum, and a café, making for a terrific day out whatever your preference. Stornoway is the sole town in the Outer Hebrides and is a bustling and growing place with a busy working harbour, a great selection of stores offering local items including Harris Tweed, leisure facilities, and wonderful award-winning restaurants serving locally sourced, high-quality food. The lilting Gaelic language is spoken everywhere in Lewis! The gorgeous Lews Castle Grounds and the famous Lews Castle, many good museums and art galleries, plus a superb golf course and clubhouse will keep visitors entertained. The huge, peaceful sandy beaches nearby offer visitors stunning views, while the town itself serves as an excellent base for exploring the Outer Hebrides' unique islands.
