The Hayloft sits within the peaceful grounds of Penmorvah Manor Hotel in Budock Water near Falmouth, giving you a quiet little corner of Cornwall to call your own. As the name hints, The Hayloft is tucked away on the first floor, reached by 18 granite steps. Once you’re inside, the open-plan layout keeps everything simple and straightforward. You’ll find a kitchen with everything you need for easy meals, a dining area that’s just right for lingering over breakfast, and a sitting space with Freeview TV and a DVD player for those slower evenings when you decide to stay in. The double bedroom offers a calm spot to end the day, while the contemporary shower room adds a touch of convenience. When you’re ready for some fresh air, head out to the shared courtyard for your first coffee of the morning, or wander through six acres of landscaped gardens and woodland, ideal for gentle strolls and happy dogs. If you fancy a treat, the hotel’s lounge, bar, and restaurant are only a short walk away. With Maenporth Beach, Trebah Gardens, and National Trust Glendurgan all close by, you’ve got plenty to explore at your own pace. Pendennis Castle, built by Henry VIII, is Falmouth's most popular attraction, sited on its own peninsula with superb panoramic sea views. Across from Falmouth harbour is the beautiful town of St Mawes, surrounded by the rocky coves, sandy beaches and lush green countryside of the Roseland Peninsula. Go there by car (15 miles) or take the passenger ferry from Falmouth (15 minutes). For nature lovers there is the Swanpool Nature Reserve, a lagoon and site of special scientific interest teeming with a variety of wildlife. There is also a golf course.
